RAmparts 3200CL ASD Tug

Following a batch of two vessels ordered by an India based client, GPC BARÚ, built under Cheoy Lee yard number 4982, is the first in the latest series of three RAmparts 3200CL tugs, this time for GPC Tugs S.A.S., a member of the Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Cartagena (SPRC) Group in Columbia. The vessel will operate in the port of Cartagena, Columbia’s second largest port. The vessels are built to Lloyd’s class, with the notation LR +100A1 Tug, +LMC, +UMS, *IWS Unrestricted Service.
The RAmparts 3200CL has a range of engine options, and these latest deliveries are fitted with twin Caterpillar 3516C engines, each developing 2,682hp. These diesels drive a pair of azimuthing Schottel SRP1515FP fixed pitch rudder propellers. The tugs offer excellent maneuverability, a top speed of 13.8 knots and bollard pull of 71 tonnes. |
