Hull 15 of Z-Tech 6000 Tugs Sailed for Singapore .....

Apr 10, 2007
This highly versatile and agile vessel combines the benefits of an ASD stern drive and tractor tug. It can run at over 12 knots both ahead and astern, and has similarly balanced bollard pull statistics - 60 tonnes - in both directions.

The performance is achieved with twin Caterpillar 3516B diesels each developing 2500 hp driving two Schottel SRP1215FP azimuth rudder propellers. This is the typical powering arrangement for this class, although the three vessels recently delivered to for operations in Panama, and the five units still under construction for the same client, are powered by 2,448hp Wartsila 9L20 engines.
Six crew are accommodated below the main deck while the chief engineer, captain and a further two crew have cabins on the main deck. The wheelhouse has clear 360° vision, essential for a vessel with such impressive maneuverability.

The vessels are built to Lloyds Register of Shipping class.

Principal Dimensions: 27.40m LOA x 11.50m Beam x 5.10m Draft.
