Cheoy Lee's Alpha Express Yacht
Mar 12, 2014
After a solid showing amid bright sun and balmy breezes at the Miami International Boat Show, Cheoy Lee took its Alpha Express Yachts on tour to other South Florida events.
While the Florida Powerboat Club readied for its annual Miami Boat Show Poker Run to Islamorada in the Florida Keys, Cheoy Lee hosted a Happy Hour aboard the original 76' Alpha to show the "go fast" crowd how performance and luxury combine as the Alpha of the Pack! The powerboaters were in awe over the attention to detail in all of the Cheoy Lee construction--from the hull to the decorative and functional elements of the salon, cabins, deck and helm. They appreciated the sporty, yet luxurious look and how the open aft deck created an ideal "party boat" atmosphere--not to mention the hot tub and spacious sun pads. Most of all, the powerboat crowd was impressed by the speed of the 76' Express Yacht--even compared to the jaw-dropping speed of their power catamarans and v-bottoms, 37 knots was impressive and many, including the ladies who visited were eager to experience the thrill of a powerful ride while enjoying the creature comforts of the Alpha Express.
The next weekend, Cheoy Lee attended the Boca Raton Concours D'Elegance--a prestigious, collector automobile event, which over the past several years, has expanded venues and attracted more surveyors of the luxury lifestyle that surrounds this performance-oriented audience. At the Friday evening Hangar Party set at Boca Aviation FBO, Cheoy Lee hosted a model display of its Alpha Express Yachts including the 76 Alpha, 76 Flybridge and 87 Sportbridge Express. Having a lovely fashion model "aboard" also helped attract attention and interest in the Cheoy Lee Alpha model line was high, resulting in visits to the Cheoy Lee sales office in Ft. Lauderdale where the full-sized Express line impressed the visitors who were seeing the true Alpha of the pack for the first time.
"It is clear that increasing Cheoy Lee's Alpha Express Yacht exposure is raising eyebrows," said Gene Weeks, project manager, "Even those who know the Cheoy Lee brand are surprised to see its new persona and are liking the possibilities of a new style of yachting!"
