58m Anchor Handling Tug / Supply Vessel
Jun 13, 2007‘Hadi 22’, a 58m (190’) Anchor Handling Tug/Supply Vessel rounds off the latest two vessel order for a repeat customer and a major offshore operator in Saudi Arabia.
Designed in Singapore by Conan Wu & Associates, and built to ABS class with the notation ABS+A1(E) + AMS FIFI 1 Towing and Anchor Handling Services, ‘Hadi 22’ set off on her own bottom for Bahrain on June 12.
Twenty two crew members can be accommodated in the forward part of the vessel. The main deck aft is over 30m (100’) long, and sheathed in wood to protect the steel deck plating during anchor handling and towing operations.
Propulsion power comes from two Caterpillar 3516B diesel engines each producing 2575 hp driving Berg controllable pitch propellers via Reintjes reduction gearboxes. Manouvering is enhanced by Schottel bow and stern thrusters. Electrical power is developed by three Caterpillar 320kW diesel generating sets.
With a fuel capacity of 400 tonnes, the vessel has a range of 6500 nautical miles a speed of 12 knots. ‘Hadi 22’ also carries 10 cubic metres of dispersant for tackling oil spills.
