Bravo 84 Cockpit Motoryacht Shipped

Sep 7, 2011

Shipped in late August, aboard the 125m Hong Kong registered MV Thorco Svendborg, Cheoy Lee yard number 5017 departed for Port Everglades in Florida. The Bravo 84 is based on Cheoy Lee’s successful Bravo 78, a yacht designed by Mike Burvenich, with a sumptuous interior from the talented Sylvia Bolton Design Group. Structural engineers High Modulus, now SP-High Modulus, the marine arm of Gurit, were responsible for all structural engineering of the 78’, and were also employed to engineer the cockpit extension. The 84’ is a spacious, sea kindly, efficient and strong yacht, built using advanced resin infused composite materials. With the latest addition of a cockpit, the yacht is also now a versatile fishing platform.

On the main deck, the yacht has a salon with both formal and informal dining areas, either side of the country-style galley. Below deck are three large staterooms, including a king-size master and two full beam queen guest staterooms, all with large ensuite heads. Crew accommodation aft is fully appointed and self contained.

Roomy lounge areas on the aft deck and flybridge with generous overhangs and bulwarks provide protection from both sun and sea. Ample side decks are guarded by secure bulwarks and sturdy high grade stainless steel rails.

Development of the Bravo 78 included extensive tank testing, resulting in a sea kindly and efficient hull. The Bravo 84' is powered by Caterpillar C32, 1,700hp diesels. AC power comes from two 32kW Kohler Generators
